Yiannis Savvidakis is a Greek pop singer who started his music career in the 1980s and to date has released seven studio albums and several singles.
He is best known internationally for teaming up with singer Fani Polymeri to represent Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 1989 in Lausanne with the song "Apópse as vréthoume", which finished in 11th place with 51 points, just 5 points behind the entries by Anna Oxa & Fausto Leali of Italy and Marianna Efstratiou of Greece respectively.
The following decade he ventured into acting with an appearance in the comedy series Tis Ellados ta paidia and went on to win the second season of the national syndication of televised talent show Your Face Sounds Familiar in 2014.
