Viktor Klimenko is a Finnish singer of Russian origin who started his career in 1965, soon earning himself the nickname the "Singing Cossack". He made several appearances in films before turning his attention to singing.
He is best known for representing his home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 1965 in Naples with the song "Aurinko laskee länteen", which finished in joint last place, sharing Nul Points with the entries from Spain, Germany and Belgium respectively.
In 1973, he acted in the Norwegian comedy-humour-musical Kofferten, a co-operation between Sveriges Radio, BBC, YLE and NRK before rebranding himself as a Gospel singer in 1980.
