"That's How You Write a Song" was the Norwegian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 performed by Alexander Rybak, who won the 2009 Contest in Moscow with the song "Fairytale", which was the higest-scoring winning entry in the Contest's history under the old voting system.
The song topped the vote in the second semi-final but finished in 15th place with 144 points in the final, in spite of being seen as a favourite to win.
