Svala Björgvinsdóttir, professionally known by her first name, is an Icelandic pop singer who began her career as a child singer. At the age of 18 she started a professional music career and released her debut studio album in 2001.
She was selected to represent her home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev with the song "Paper" but failed to advance from the first semi-final.
