Simone de Oliveira

Simone de Oliveira is a Portuguese former singer who started her career in 1958. Throughout career, she released over a dozen studio albums and singles.

She was first selected to represent her home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 1965 in Naples with the song "Sol de inverno", which finished in joint 13th place with a single point alongside the entry by Kirsti Sparboe of Norway.

Returning four years later in Madrid she again represented her home country with song "Desfolhada portuguesa", which finished in 15th place with 4 points, just a single point behind the ent ries by Ivan & 3M of Yugoslavia and Iva Zanicchi of Italy respectively.

She also participated in several theatre productions and acting projects and in 2022 joined the coaching panel on the national syndication of The Voice, becoming the oldest person to fill the role.
