"Silêncio e tanta gente" (English: Silence and so many people) was the Portuguese entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1984 in Luxembourg City, performed by Maria Guinot.
It finished in 11th place with 38 points, just a single point behind the host country entry by Sophie Carle of Luxembourg, giving the country its best result in four years.
