"Shum" (English: Noise) was the Ukrainian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam, performed by the group Go_A, who had been selected to represent their home country the previous year before the Contest was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the members of the band, the song was not made with the Contest in mind. In consequence, the original "Shum" was not eligible to compete, since the lyrics and the melody were a variation of an ancient Ukrainian folk song used for traditional rituals, and the rules of the Contest state that covers are not allowed. For this reason, the band released a new version, which lead singer Kateryna Pavlenko called a "sequel" of the song.
It successfully qualified from the first semi-final, finishing in 5th place with 364 points, the country's best result since their win in the 2016 Contest.
