Eurovision Song Contest Wiki

Sandra Reemer was an Indonesian-born Dutch singer and television presenter who was best known for representing her home country on three times on the Eurovision stage, tying with fellow countrywoman Corry Brokken as the country's most frequent participant.

Her first appearance was with fellow singer Andres in the Eurovision Song Contest 1972 in Edinburgh performing the song "Als het om de liefde gaat", which finished in 4th place with 106 points, a single point behind the entry by Mary Roos of Germany.

Returning as a soloist and the host country entrant four years later in The Hague, she performed the song "The Party's Over", which finished in 9th place with 56 points.

Her third appearance, again as a soloist, came three years later in Jerusalem, performing the song 'Colorado", which finished in 12th place with 51 points, making it her worst performing entry.

She made one final uncredited appearance four years later in Munich as a backing singer for fellow countrywoman Bernadette and her entry "Sing Me a Song".

She died on 6 June 2017 at the age of 66 following a long battle with breast cancer.
