Salomé is the stage name of Spanish former singer Maria Rosa Marco Poquet. She was active in the industry from 1960 until she retired in 2005, having released several albums and done work in television.
She was internally chosen to represent her home country on home soil at the Eurovision Song Contest 1969 in Madrid with the song "Vivo cantando", which gave the country its second win as well as its second consecutive one and, as of 2024, is the country's last winning entry. It also shared the victory with the entries from France, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom - the only time in the Contest's history that this has happened.
