Rudi Carrell was a Dutch entertainer popular in both The Netherlands and Germany.

He is best known internationally for representing his home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 1960 in London with the song "Wat een geluk", which finished in second-last place with 2 points. He later provided the Dutch radio commentary at the Eurovision Song Contest 1987, which took place in Brussels.

He died from lung cancer on 7 July 2006 at the age of 71.
