Renato Rascel was an Italian singer and actor whose career spanned three decades from the 1940s.
He is best known for representing his home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 1960 in London with the song "Romantica", which finished in joint 8th place with 5 points with the song "Cielo e terra" by Anita Traversi of Switzerland.
From the 1970s, he focused more on his acting career before later retiring from showbusiness. He died on 2 January 1991 at the age of 78.
