Polina Gagarina is a Russian singer who began her career in 2003 after winning the reality television competition Star Factory. To date she has released three studio albums.
She is best known for representing her home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna. After winning the first semi final and being in a closely fought battle with Sweden and Italy throughout the voting results, during which she was reduced to tears when subjected to several boos from the audience whenever the country was awarded points due to her country's anti-gay laws, she finished as runner-up to Sweden.
From 2015 to 2016, she served as a judge on Golos, the Russian version of The Voice.
In 2021, she duetted with Måns Zelmerlöw on the single "Circles & Squares", the theme song for that year's World Figure Skating Championships.
