Peter Horton was the stage name of Austrian singer, composer and writer Peter Müller. Throughout his career he released dozens of studio albums and singles.

He was best known for representing his country on home soil in the Eurovision Song Contest 1967 in Vienna with the song "Warum es hunderttausend Sterne gibt", which finished in joint 14th place with 2 points alongside the entries from The Netherlands and Norway respectively.

He died on 22 September 2023 at the age of 82 following his battle with Parkinson's disease, just three days after celebrating his birthday.
