Omar Naber is a Slovenian singer who became interested in music when he joined a local choir at the age of 16. A couple of years later he formed a rock band before deciding to go solo in 2001. To date, he has released four studio albums and several singles.
He first attempted to represent his home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 in Kiev with the song "Stop", participating in the newly-introduced semi finals, but failed to qualify for the final.
He returned twelve years later, again in Kiev, with the song "On My Way" but yet again failed qualify for the final, finishing in second-last place in the first semi-final.
