Nana Mouskouri is the stage name of Greek singer Ioanna Mouschouri. Since starting her music career in 1958, she has sold in excess of 300 million records, making her the most-successful female singer of all time. She has recorded in at least twelve different languages, including Greek, French, English, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Hebrew, Welsh, Mandarin Chinese and Corsican.

She represented Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest 1963 in London with the song "À force de prier", which finished in 8th place with 13 points.

Post-Contest, she continued with her music career and in 1993 was elected to the European Parliament as a Greek deputy from 1994 to 1999.

She made a special appearance at the final of the 2005 Contest in Athens, where she was presented as the best-selling Greek artist of all time. She announced her retirement the same year but returned to the music world in 2014.
