Los TNT was an Italian-Uruguayan band consisting of siblings Edelweiss "Tim" Croatto, Hermes "Tony" Croatto and Argentina "Nelly" Croatto. Born in Italy, they started their career in the early 1950s after moving to Uruguay.
The first band to appear on the Contest stage, they are best known for representing Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 1964 in Copenhagen with the song "Caracola", which was spared the dreaded Nul Points by finishing in 12th place with a single point awarded to them by the Italian jury.
Post-Contest, their success did not last and they recorded their last single as a trio in 1965 before the band was dissolved as Tim decided to leave to establish his own record label. Nelly and Tony continued to perform as a duo until it was dissolved in 1974 when she got married. Tony continued to work as an entertainer until his death at the age of 65 on 3 April 2005.
