Lenny Kuhr is a Dutch singer-songwriter who began her music career as a teenager. She continues to record today having released several albums.
She was selected to represent her home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 1969 in Madrid with the song "De troubadour", which gave the country its third win. It also shared the victory with the entries from France, Spain and the United Kingdom - the only time in the Contest's history that this has happened.
During the 1970s she became more popular outside of her home country but scored her biggest hit in 1980 when she collaborated with French group Les Poppys. Since then, she has had little chart success.
She made an appearance during the interval of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam, performing her winning entry.
