Kirsti Sparboe is a Norwegian singer and theater performance best known for her multiple participations in the Contest.
She was first selected to represent her home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 1965 in Naples with the song "Karusell', which finished in joint 13th place with a single point alongside the entry from Portugal.
She won the right to represent her home country for the second time just two years later in Vienna with the song "Dukkemann", which finished in joint 14th place with 2 points alongside the entries from The Netherlands and host nation Austria.
She also attempted to represent her home country in the the following year but was disqualified after being accused of plagiarism when her song was said to sound like "Summer Holiday" by Cliff Richard who was the host country entrant that year and went on to finish as runner up to "La, la, la" by Massiel of Spain.
Her final Contest appearance came one year later in Madrid when she represented her home country with the song "Oj, oj, oj, så glad jeg skal bli", which finished in last place with a single point, making it her worst result as well as giving the country its second last place result.
