Jacques Zegers is a Belgian former singer who began singing in cabaret at the age of 16 and in his spare time would participate in song contests while pursuing a career as a journalist. He released several singles between 1983 and 1984.

He is best known internationally for representing his home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 1984 in Luxembourg City with the song "Avanti la vie", which finished in joint 5th place with 70 points alongside the entry by Alice and Franco Battiato of Italy.

Post-Contest, he was asked to record the song "LA en Olympie", the official Belgian song for the 1984 Summer Olympics and released just one more single before deciding to continue pursuing his journalistic career and published a novel entitled Le nœud and several volumes of poetry.
