Jacques Houdek is a Croatian singer and songwriter who began his career in 2000. He also auditioned for The X Factor UK in 2011 but withdrew due to visa issues. To date he has released eight studio albums.
In 2015, he was a mentor on the national version of The Voice and won with singer Nina Kraljić, who went on to represent the country at the 2016 Contest in Stockholm.
He was selected to represent his home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev with the song "My Friend", which successfully qualified for the final, finishing in 13th place with 128 points.
He also penned the country’s 2019 Contest entry by Roko, which failed to qualify for the final.
