JJ is the stage name of Austrian singer-songwriter and countertenor Johannes Pietsch. He was internally selected to represent his home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel with the song "Wasted Love", which went on to win the Contest with 436 points, giving the country its third victory.

Austria wins the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel courtesy of countertenor JJ with his song "Wasted Love". It marks the third time the country has won following Udo Jürgens' victory in the 1966 Contest in Luxembourg City and Conchita Wurst's victory in the 2014 Contest in Copenhagen
Georgia wins the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Madrid, courtesy of Andria Putkaradze and his song "To My Mom". The country now leads with the most amount of victories with a total of four in the junior edition. Following the win, the national broadcaster confirmed that the country will host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025
