Eurovision Song Contest Wiki

The Eurovision Song Contest 2015 was the 60th annual Eurovision Song Contest which took place in Vienna, Austria, following Conchita Wurst's win the previous year in Copenhagen with the song "Rise Like a Phoenix". It took place on 23 May 2015.

Australia made its debut as an automatic qualifier since it was invited to participate for the diamond anniversary. Cyprus, Czech Republic and Serbia all made their return while Ukraine withdrew for the first time since it began competing.

It was won by Måns Zelmerlöw of Sweden, performing the song "Heroes". This gave the country its sixth win and made it the first to win the Contest twice with more than 300 points as well as being the first to win twice in the 21st century. Its victory also placed it one win behind record holders Ireland.
