De Spelbrekers were a Dutch duo consisting of Theo Rekkers and Huug Kok. They met while working under forced labour in a munitions factory during World War II and began their recording career in 1950, releasing numerous singles during the decade.
They were best known for representing their home county at the Eurovision Song Contest 1962 in Luxembourg City with the song "Katinka", which shared joint last place with the entries from Belgium, Spain and Austria, scoring Nul Points.
Hug Kok died on 27 October 2011 at the age of 93 and Theo Rekkers died on 20 April 2012, just four days short of his 88th birthday.
