Conny Vandenbos was the stage name of Dutch singer Jacoba Adriana Hollestelle. In 1961, she started her career in the KRO radio programme Springplank, a showcase for young talent, where she performed French chansons. After signing a recording contract she began to release music and over the next four decades went on to release over a dozen studio albums and singles.

She was selected to represent her home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 1965 in Naples with the song "'t is genoeg", which finished in 11th place with 5 points, all of which were awarded by the Norwegian jury.

Post-Contest, she remained a very successful singer in her home country and also hosted several radio shows as well as duetting with American singer Janis Ian. In 1998, she memorably presented the Dutch voting results where she was involved in an exchange with presenter Ulrikka Jonsson in which she mentioned having competed in the Contest a long time ago and the latter's response was perceived as a dig at her age due to the audience's laughter. Two years later, she received a title on the Rotterdam Walk Of Fame.

She died on 7 April 2002 at the age of 65, just two weeks after it was announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer.
