Charlie McGettigan is an Irish singer who is best known for representing his home country on home soil with singer Paul Harrington performing the song "Rock 'n' Roll Kids", giving the country its then-record sixth win and an unprecedented third in a row. As of 2023, they remain the oldest artists to represent their home country as well as the last to win on home soil.
In 2005, he was one of the backing vocalists for the Congratulations gala held in Copenhagen to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the contest, performing alongside Linda Martin, Eimear Quinn and 2005 Danish representative Jakob Sveistrup.
He composed the song "Anybody Got a Shoulder?" by Kat Mahon, which finished as runner-up in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 national final to "Playing With Numbers" by Molly Sterling.
