Carole Vinci is a Swiss former singer who originally trained to be a sports teacher before moving into the world of singing.

After failing to represent her country the previous year in London, she was selected to do so in the Eurovision Song Contest 1978 in Paris with the song "Vivre", which finished in joint 9th place with 65 points alongside the entry by José Vélez of Spain, just a single point behind the entry by Tania Tsanaklidou of Greece, giving the country its best result in seven years.

However, she did not remain a singer post-Contest and retired to run a dairy factory in her home country.
