Bonnie Tyler is the stage name of Welsh singer Gaynor Hopkins. She started her career in 1969 and to date has released eighteen studio albums, sixty-eight compilation albums, four live albums, four EPs and several singles, the best known of these being her 1980s hit singles "Holding Out for a Hero" and "Total Eclipse of the Heart".
Having turned down the chance during the 1980s, she was chosen to represent the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song "Believe in Me", which finished in 19th place with 23 points.
