Bobby Solo is the professional name of Italian singer Roberto Satti. He started his career in the early 1960s and to date has released several albums, all in Italian, German and English.
After a previous failed attempt, he was selected to represent his country on home soil in the Eurovision Song Contest 1965 in Naples with the song "Se piangi, se ridi", which finished in 5th place with 15 points, just a single point behind the entry by Udo Jürgens of Austria.
He made two further appearances at the Festival di Sanremo in 1969 and 2003, both as a soloist and as part of a duo.
