Bill van Dijk is a Dutch singer and musical performer who is best known for his rendition of his country's national anthem. To date, he has released over a dozen studio albums and singles.
He is best known internationally for representing his home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 1982 in Harrogate with the song "Jij en ik", which finished in 16th place with 8 points, just 12 points behind the entry by Neco of Turkey.
Post-Contest, he performed voices on Sesamstraat, the Dutch co-production of Sesame Street including Roosevelt Franklin, Clementine, and many of the rock singers on the show. As a theatre actor in the 1990s, he appeared in the Dutch and Broadway productions of Cyrano: The Musical, having appeared in a production of Hair two decades earlier.
In 1996, he voiced Clopin in the Dutch dub of the Disney animated film The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
