Eurovision Song Contest Wiki

Bianca Shomburg is a German singer who started her career in the mid-1990s. To date, she has released one studio album and several singles.

In 1996, she took part in and subsequently won television singing competition the European Soundmix Show where she impersonated singer Céline Dion.

Following this, she was selected to represent her home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 1997 with the song "Zeit", which finished in a disappointing 18th place with 22 points. Prior to this, she had won the national final which had seen the return of the previous year's winner Leon.

Post-Contest, a long lasting successful singing career failed to materialize and she ventured in the world of television, which saw her appearing as a singing coach on talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar, the national syndication of the worldwide Idol franchise.
