Eurovision Song Contest Wiki

Ben Dolić is a Slovene singer who began his career at the age of 12 as a competitor on Slovenia's Got Talent, being eliminated in the semi-final. As part of the group D Base, he attempted to represent his home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 but they were eliminated.

He came to fame after finishing as runner-up on the eighth season of The Voice of Germany in 2018. Since then, he has had a successful career in German-speaking Europe.

He was internally chosen to represent Germany at the 2020 Contest in Rotterdam with the song "Violent Thing", which had direct qualification for the final due to the country's status as a "Big 5" nation. However, the Contest was cancelled due to the conronavirus pandemic, so the song was not performed.
