Anna Vissi is a Greek-Cypriot singer and songwriter who started her career in 1973 before establishing herself in the recording industry by winning the Thessaloniki Song Festival in 1977 and releasing her debut album. To date, she has released over a dozen studio albums, three live albums, four soundtracks and over a dozen singles, making her one of her home country's most successful singers.
Her next participation came just two years later in Harrogate when she represented her home country with the song "Móno i agápi", which finished in 5th place with 85 points, matching the result later achieved by the 1997 entry by Hara & Andreas Constantinou and the 2004 entry by Lisa Andreas and remaining the country's best result until the 2018 Contest runner up "Fuego" by Eleni Foureira.
After a gap of almost a quarter of a century, she made her third and final appearance on the Contest stage by representing Greece for the second time in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 on home soil in Athens with the song "Everything", which finished in 9th place with 128 points.
Aside from her Contest appearances, she has also delved into the world of theatre and television as well as appearing onstage with singers Sakis Rouvas and Constantinos Christoforou.

She is the younger sister of singer Lia Vissi who represented their home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 in Gothenburg, finishing in 16th place with 15 points.
