Anna Oxa is an Italian singer, actress and television presenter best known in her home country due to her numerous participations in the Festival di Sanremo. To date, she has released over a dozen studio albums and singles.

She is best known internationally for teaming up with singer Fausto Leali to represent their home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 1989 in Lausanne with the song "Avrei voluto", which finished in 9th place with 56 points, just 4 points behind the entry by 11-year old Nathalie Pâque of France.

Post-Contest, she has continued to release music and cohosted Fantastico for two years, was a judge on Amici di Maria De Filippi, and competed in the Italian version of Dancing with the Stars. As an actress, she has appeared in Stryx and the film Maschio, femmina, fiore, frutto.
