Anita Thallaug was a Norwegian singer and actress who began her career in the 1950s by appearing in children's TV programmes.
She was best known internationally for representing her home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 1963 in London with the song "Solhverv", which finished in joint last place, sharing Nul Points with the entries from The Netherlands, Finland and Sweden, making her the first of a record eleven acts representing her home country to finish in last place.
She died on 20 March 2023 at the age of 85.
