Ani Lorak is the professional name of Ukrainian singer-songwriter, actress, entrepreneur and UN goodwill ambassador Karolina Kuiek. She started her career in 1996. To date, she has released twelve studio albums, two live albums, three compilation albums, one remix album, three video albums and several singles.
She is best known internationally for representing her home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, which successfully qualified from the second semi-final, finishing as runner up with 230 points to "Believe" by Dima Bilan of Russia.
