Angelina Mango is an Italian singer and songwriter who rose to fame when she finished runner-up in the 22nd edition of the talent show Amici di Maria de Fillippi. She is the daughter of Giuseppe Mango, who prior to his death in 2014 was a well-known performer in his own right, and Laura Valente, who spent several years as a member of the band Matia Bazar.
She won the 74th Sanremo Festival in 2024, becoming the first female soloist to win the competition since Arisa in 2014, and accepted the honor of representing her country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with her winning song "La noia". In accepting the invitation to compete, she was the first female artist to represent her home country since Francesca Michielin in 2016, as well as the first female artist to take her winning Sanremo song to Eurovision since Gigliola Cinquetti in 1964.
