Alice is the professional name of Italian singer-songwriter Carla Bissi who started her career in the early 1970s initially releasing material under her birth name before adopting her stage name. to date, she has released over a dozen studio albums, live albums and compilations.

After making her breakthrough by winning the Festival di Sanremo in 1981, she was selected to represent her home country alongside the singer Franco Battiato three years later in Luxembourg City with the song "I treni di Tozeur", which finished in joint 5th place with 70 points alongside the entry by Jacques Zegers of Belgium.

Post-Contest, she has continued to release music and has collaborated with several well-known artsts.
