Eurovision Song Contest Wiki

Alan Sorrenti is an Italian singer and composer who started his career in the early 1970s and to date has released over a dozen studio albums and singles that have combined progressive rock, experimental and dance music.

He is best known internationally for representing his home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 1980 in The Hague with the song "Non so che darei", which finished in 6th place with 87 points, just 6 points behind the host country entry by Maggie MacNeal of The Netherlands on her second and final appearance for the country, having finished in 3rd place six years earlier in Brighton as one half of the duo Mouth & MacNeal. In spite of this result, the track became one of that year's bestselling entries in Continental Europe and Scandinavia after the winner Johnny Logan's "What's Another Year".

In 2006, he participated in the festival O' Scià on the Lampedusa island.
